A major accident occurred due to a lift collapse at GBH American Hospital located in Pratapnagar, Udaipur. Chaos ensured in the hospital as 4 people, two of them being caretakers of inpatients and 2 nursing staff, were injured in the lift collapse on Monday morning.

On receiving information about the incident, District Collector and Additional Superintendent of Police City, Chandrasheel Thakur along with the hospital administration reached the spot and inquired about the incident.

District Collector Tarachand Meena told that the incident is being reported to have occured at 9.30 am on Monday morning and as per the informaiton two attendants and 2 nursing staff suffered multiple fractures as the lift collapsed. Fortunately, there were no casualties and all four have been admitted to hospital for treatment.  A case of negligence has been filed against the hospital and appropriate action will be taken, said the authorities.
