14 members of a family got severely injured while a 32 year old woman died on the spot after the cruiser jeep in which they were riding collided with each other on state highway 10 on Paluda- Anandpuri road near Nandri village of Banswara district on Sunday.

The villagers and others passing by pulled victims out of the jeep and rushed to a private hospital of Sagwara where one Payal Darji (32) a resident of Dungarpur was declared dead and her body was shifted to mortuary while other injured were rushed to Ahmedabad for further treatment.

According to the information the incident occured when more than 15 members of a family hailing from Dungarpur was heading towards Anandpuri to attain a family function held at the house of one of their relatives, but it was when they reached near Nandri village that a speeding mini truck hit their Jeep from the opposite side.

The collision was such that the Jeep got over turned. However other relatives of the victims that were coming behind them in a separate vehicle also reached on the spot few later and helped the villagers in the rescue operation, they later informed the police upon which a team of local police station reached on the spot.
