Four people died in a road mishap after the motorcycle on which they were riding was hit by an unidentified vehicle near Balaji Hotel off the Rishabdeo on the Udaipur Ahmedabad National Highway 48. The incident occurred on Friday 26 July around 10.30pm, when the four were heading towards their house at Chanawada village from Rishabhdeo.
Those who died were identified as Jhalam Meena (25), Raju Meena (22), Vinod Meena (20) and Ashok Meena (20).
Sub Inspector and in-charge of Rishabhdeo police station, Ram Singh said, "The mishap occured on Thursday night, after which all four victims were rushed to the CHC Rishabhdeo for treatment during which two of them succumbed to their injuries on reaching hospital, while the remaining two breathed their last on Saturday morning at MB Hospital in Udaipur where they were referred for further treatment. The dead bodies of the deceased were shifted to mortuary and the postmortem of their bodies is going on, a report has been registered against the driver of the unidentified vehicle and an investigation has been launched.
