Bodies of missing kids found after 50 hours
Bodies of missing kids found in gutter in Sajjan nagar.
Two kids went missing from Sajjan Nagar on Thursday. For 2 days, police were clueless about these missing kids. The bodies of these innocent children aged 6 and 4 have finally been found after 50 hours of search but sadly in a gutter.
Roshan (6 ) s/o Chogaram Gameti and Praveen (4) s/o Kishan Lal Gameti went missing after they were out having fun running after kites. For two days, family and police ran to and fro searching for these kids but in vain. Saturday afternoon, Champa Bai, grandmother of these kids, went in search holding her bamboo stick. She moved her stick on every place that seemed doubtful. In the process she came across a gutter. Moving the stick in the gutter, she observed that something was inside it. To her shock, her stick had hit on the child’s body. It was Roshan’s body inside the gutter.
Champa Bai started wailing at the sight of child’s body. Her family members and residents rushed to the spot. Police were informed who found the body of Praveen as well. The entire colony was shocked and speechless to see the innocent lifeless bodies being pulled out of the gutter. Both the bodies were taken to mortuary in MB hospital and post mortem will be carried out today.
Praveen was Kishan Lal Gameti’s elder son. Roshan was one of Chogaram’s 4 children. Both children had left their homes on Thursday in playful mood. When they did not return home, missing report was lodged in Ambamata police station. Later the reports were sent to other police station, too, since the kids were nowhere to be found.
CCTV footage showed the kids running after kites in the direction of gutter. Family members had searched in the nearby areas but could find no trace of the kids. The gutter is around 15 to 20 feet deep where dirty water from the colony collects and as a result the upper layer had algae and weeds. This big hole was left uncovered which proved to be disastrous. The kids did not notice this gutter on the way and fell inside it resulting in death.
