Body of drowned man recovered from Jaisamand.
Body of the man who drowned in Jaisamand Lake on Monday morning has been recovered. The man has been identified as Lokendra Singh, resident of Banswara.
The man who drowned in Jaisamand Lake was carrying voter-id card, adhar card and also a driving license. His body was recovered from the lake on Tuesday after toiling for 29 hours. Reportedly, the rescue team from Udaipur were not properly equipped for the rescue operation. They went short of oxygen and had to get back to Udaipur for refilling the cylinders. By the time they returned to Jaisamand, it was dark and the rescue operation had to be stopped.
On Tuesday morning, the team searched for the drowned man for almost 3 hours but in vain. Because of depth of the lake, they couldn’t find the body. Later the rescue operation began with boats. Around 1 p.m., the boat’s oar hit the body and that is how it was recovered.
