75 yr old British tourist Robert Thomson passed away after slipping in the bathroom at Hotel Udai Kothi on Tuesday night.

75 yr old British tourist Robert Thomson passed away after slipping in the bathroom at Hotel Udai Kothi on Tuesday night.

British resident Thomson had come to India on 13-Nov in a group of 12 visitors. After visiting different locations, the group reached Udaipur on 26-Nov and were staying at Hotel Udai Kothi.

After sight-seeing in Udaipur, the group members reached back at the hotel on Tuesday evening at 6PM and went to their individual rooms. Leena Rosemary, a group member, informed that Thomson was staying in room no 101. He had gone to the bathroom to take a shower when they heard a loud thud of his fall. The group members immediately rushed to Thomson’s room and found him lying on the bathroom floor. The doctor within the group and also a doctor called by the hotel examined Thomson and pronounced him dead.

Thomson’s body was kept at MB hospital mortuary and British embassy was informed of the same. Post mortem was carried out on Wednesday evening after a team from British Embassy, New Delhi reached here. Post-mortem confirmed that death was caused due to injury on the head.
