There are places where one should never be taking a selfie like going to a funeral or during a movie. One can now add, “DRIVING” to the list.

Two people were injured yesterday when their car turned upside down in Chirwa tunnel. The incident happened when the duo were trying to take a selfie while driving inside the tunnel. Due to lapse in driving attention, the car hit the footpath on the side of the tunnel at high speed and the car flipped over.

Luckily the two passengers in the car did not receive any major injuries. They were rushed to the hospital for preliminary treatment. Also, fortunately there were no vehicles or people walking in the vicinity of the accident and hence damage was averted.

ASI Narayan Singh informed that the two were travelling from Rajsamand to Udaipur when the accident happened. The two passengers, knowing that it was their own fault, did not lodge any police complaint.

One of the injured informed that he was travelling from Rajsamand to Udaipur to meet his fiancee. In the tunnel, he and his friend decided to take a selfie and he lost control of the car.
