A CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) security guard at Dabok airport has died immediately after he mistakenly pulled the trigger of his semi automatic rifle while cleaning it.

R. D. Nagpuria (40) was deployed at Dabok airport for security and guarding special airplanes used for cloud seeding. According to police, Nagpuria died as 5-6 bullets pierced his torso. No authority from CISF has released any statement.

The deceased is survived by his daughter and wife. R. D. Nagpuria was from Maharashtra and was posted here from sometime. He was living with his family at government quarters near airport.

While the police confirmed the death was accidental, many questions still remained unanswered as why Nagpuria was cleaning his rifle while on duty, why the rifle was unlocked and loaded?

The inconsolable family of Nagpuria arrived at MB Hospital’s mortuary with other CISF officials and colleagues.
