Selfie craze has grown a lot in public. It has even taken disastrous turns yet people are not careful while fulfilling their selfie mania.

A couple fell into Jaisamad Lake with their toddler while trying to take selfie. They did not realise that the place near elephant statues is extremely slippery. Water level had risen as high as the elephants’ feet during rainy season. Now that the water is receding, the steps can be seen easily but they are very risky.

Thursday afternoon, this young couple went down towards the steps in order to click selfies. The steps were too slippery and before they could balance their way back to safety, they fell into the water taking the toddler with them. It was a matter of chance that the boatmen and other public saw them falling and rushed to save them. All three were taken out safely due to quick action taken by people. The couple left the place without revealing their identity.
