One of the seven Sambhar deers that were shifted earlier this year from Kota and Alwar districts to City’s zoological Park, Gulab Bagh, was found dead today morning in its cage.

Veterinary Dr. Pradhan conducted his post-mortem in Gulab Bagh and cited infection as the reason of the death. He also warned spreading of the infection among other animals.

Later Animal Warden, D.S. Rathore, informed us that, “medicines have been provided to the zoo keepers to stop the infection from spreading to other deers”.
