Fire broke out today morning at the Chetak Circle Branch of State Bank of India. Fire was brought under control with help from fire tankers.

As per the information received, fire was most likely caused due to short circuit. Fire broke out in the first floor of the Hathipole situated branch.

The security team at the branch controlled the fire and fire brigade team at Ashok Nagar was also informed. The fire brigade team reached the spot within 5 minutes and after breaking a few glass to gain entry, brought the fire under complete control.

A few files and computers were gutted in the incident but there was no human casualty. Fire brigade team was critical of the bank and said that branch did not have adequate arrangements to control fire.
