IAF Jaguar Trainer Jet Crashes in Churu, Two Pilots Killed
July 9 2025 – An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar trainer jet crashed in Rajasthan’s Churu district this afternoon (July 9) killing two IAF pilots. The aircraft, which was on a routine training mission, crashed in Ratangarh town.
“IAF deeply regrets the loss of lives and stands firmly with the bereaved families in this time of grief,” the IAF said. A court of inquiry has been constituted to ascertain the cause of the accident, it informed.
No damage to any civil property was reported.
This is the second crash involving a Jaguar in three months. Earlier this year, in April another Jaguar of the IAF had crashed in Gujarat during a routine training mission near the Jamnagar Air Force station. One pilot was unable to eject and died in the crash while the other ejected safely.
