Infant girl left abandoned in Palna

An infant girl was left abandoned in the Palna (cot) placed outside maternity ward of MB Hospital today. The baby girl was safely received by Maa Bhagwati Vikas Sansthan who runs “Mahesh Ashram”, home for abandoned baby girls after being taken care by the volunteers.

An infant girl was left abandoned in the Palna (cot) placed outside maternity ward of MB Hospital today. The baby girl was safely received by Maa Bhagwati Vikas Sansthan who runs “Mahesh Ashram”, home for abandoned baby girls after being taken care by the volunteers.

According to Devendra Agarwal, of Mahesh Ashram, “The baby was left by an unknown person around 5pm today. After medical observation, the baby was found to be only few hours old.”

Devendra Agarwal said, “We hope to see a day when no baby girl will be thrown into bushes or left abandoned in Palna, or in Temples. These babies should be accepted with respect as an avatar of Goddess.”
