A two storey furniture godown caught fire in Helawadi are falling under Ghantaghar Police station last night.

The fire started late night around 2am. On sensing fire, the neighbours immediately informed the police and fire brigade. It took over 6 fire brigade tankers to bring the fire under control after about 4 hours. People in the neighbourhood also played their part in bringing the fire under control but showering water.

The ceiling and the side walls of the godown broke down due to the fire. The loss due to fire is estimated to be around 20 Lakh.

The neighbourhood buildings also had their windows shattered due to the fire.
