Chhotu Bhai, a government driver, jumped into Fatehsagar lake and saved a child from drowning, near afternoon on Sunday 14 Jan.

The girl, who was among 5-7 tourists who were taking a stroll at Fatehsagar, bent in towards the paal causing her to lose balance, and she fell into the water. Chhotu bhai, who was on location, immediately jumped into the water and pulled out the girl before she got caught up in deeper waters.

One of the onlookers, Kallaji Raika, informed that a few tourists were at Fatehsagar in the afternoon, which included the girl who is around 8 years old. The girl was standing near the first chhatri on the Paal, when due to bending too much, she slipped and fell into the water. Seeing the girl in the water, her family members began to ask for help. Chhotu bhai, who was accompanying a few tourists in a government vehicle, saw the incident and immediately jumped in and rescued the girl. The family of the girl thanked Chhotu bhai and left.
