Just yesterday a car was swept away by rain water near Tidi leaving one dead and today morning a milk pickup van was swept away in river leaving 2 dead. The incident happened near Chittoria Pulia on the Kherwada Phada road.

The milk van was swept away at around 7:45 am today morning. Bodies of a mother-daughter duo was recovered from the van. A driver and one other fellow in the milk van had managed to get out and swept themselves to safety.

The milk van was coming from Gandhai village in Pahada and going towards Kherwada after delivering milk. The driver and his escort were coming back. A mother-daughter duo took lift from them for going towards Kherwada.

Despite the heavy water current, driver still decided to drive the van through. The vehicle however could not withstand the current and was swept when it was midway along the bridge.

The jeep was recovered after a 2 hour marathon effort. The bodies of the mother-daughter duo were moved to mortuary.
