An accident happened late Saturday night as a truck caught fire on NH-8 in Goverdhan Vilas area. This brought the entire traffic to a halt and none of the vehicles could move ahead for hours altogether.

As per reports, 3 trucks were heading to Ahmedabad. One of these trucks caught fire while it was in the process of overtaking the other two. The driver lost control of the vehicle and banged into the truck in front. The truck coming behind these two also banged and all three trucks were then on fire. This incident happened late night on Saturday.

Police reached the spot and tried to remove the trucks but could not succeed. Entire traffic on this route got affected and created a jam on the road. This incident took place 8 kms away from Goverdhan Vilas police station. An ambulance also got stuck in this traffic jam. Until 8 a.m. on Sunday, vehicles were stuck in traffic jam. People who could have reached Udaipur in half an hour spent the entire night stuck in traffic.
