In an early morning accident, a trailer truck crushed an RTO guard on duty near Balicha on Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway. The guard died on the spot.

The accident happened today(Saturday) early morning between 3:30am to 4:00 am. RTO team was standing near Balicha and checking vehicles coming from Ahmedabad. As part of that they had stopped a truck coming from Ahmedabad. The victim guard, after speaking with the truck driver, was taking the truck papers to the RTO inspector for verification. While he was going, a speeding trailer truck hit the guard. The gaurd’s head got completely crushed between the truck and trailer and he died on the spot.

Fellow guards of the victim took his body on the side and informed Goverdhan Vilas Police Station team. Police reached the spot and after necessary proceedings, took the body to MB hospital mortuary.

The trailer truck involved in the accident was nabbed soon after by the Police. The accused driver however ran away and is currently being searched for.
