In a road accident this evening at 6.30 PM, a man was killed while crossing the road after being hit by a speeding car near Bara Paal Village, NH8.

According to Police, Narendra (24) s/o Dhula Meena, resident of Bara Paal Village, was crossing the road to reach his farm on the other side when a speeding car coming from Udaipur to Ahemdabad hit him.

The driver was then caught by the residents of Bara Paal Village who then started protesting on the highway which resulted in a jam situation for nearly 5 hours. The people wrecked the car and blocked the road.

On the information, Goverdhan Vilas police team along with Ata-ur-Rahman, DYSP (Tribal) and Kaluram Rawat, Ad SP reached the scene and controlled the situation.

After hours of pursuing, people cleared the road. Also, Police took the accused driver in their custody registering the case against him.
