An over speeding car hit the divider at Pratapnagar crossing with such a force that the car’s engine came out and fell 25 feet away from the vehicle.

A car coming from Chittor road was in such a high speed that its engine bounced out when the car hit the divider. The engine fell on labour sleeping 25 feet away from the spot injuring two of them. The car lost control because of high speed which was probably more than 150kmph. Registered under Uttar Pradesh, car number UP 33AM 1888 hit the divider which caused a sound similar to that of an explosive. Residents of that area thought that it was an explosion and got scared. People who saw the car in speed said that this i20 vehicle was being driven in an extremely high speed.

Police also commented that it was the first time that they saw the engine thrown out of the car after an accident. There were three persons in the car and they are injured. Police sent the injured people and the labour to MB hospital. It has been reported that the car passengers took to a private hospital later on.

During late night hours, roads normally have less or no traffic at times. Every other day some of the other overspeeding vehicle meets with an accident. A few days back, 3 young men lost their life when a bus hit their bike. Even on Diwali night, an over speeding car lost control and hit a truck. All the passengers in the car died on the spot.

It is really shocking that this car coming from Chittor hit the divider so hard that the engine flew out of it. Whether the road is empty or not, people need to realise that driving at a normal speed will also take them to their destination. A few minutes here and there wouldn’t make a difference. Driving at an extremely high speed is dangerous and it doesn’t help save much.
