Five Die in Road Accident in Amberi

Udaipur, November 22, 2024 - Five people were killed on the spot in a tragic road mishap that occurred around midnight yesterday in Amberi area of Sukher police station jurisdiction. One of the deceased was the son of a head constable.

The accident happened when a car heading from Amberi towards Debari on the wrong side of the road had a head-on collision with a truck. The impact of the collision was so severe that all the occupants died on the spot. The front of the car was completely crushed. Police from Sukher station reached the scene and, with the help of locals, extracted the bodies. The bodies were sent to the mortuary at MB Hospital. Police have seized the truck.

As per information, the truck driver tried to avert the collision but the vehicle was on a slope which made it difficult for him to do so. 

Station House Officer Himanshu Singh Rajawat said four of the victims were identified as Himmat Khatik (32) from Delwara, Rajsamand, Pankaj Nagarchi (24) from Bedla, Udaipur, Gopal Nagarchi (27) from Kharol Colony, Udaipur, Gaurav Jingar (23) from Sisarma.

The police mentioned that they were yet to find out where the young men were coming from or where they were headed. The families have been notified, and further details about the victims will be known after questioning the relatives.
