Jan 1, 2026 – Several people are feared killed and many injured when a powerful blast ripped through a bar in the Alpine ski resort town of Crans-Montana in Switzerland early on Thursday (January 1) morning. According to the local police, about 100 people were in the bar heralding in the new year when the explosion occurred.
The origin and cause of the explosion is not yet known. Some reports say at least 10 were confirmed dead though there is no official news on the casualty figure. First visuals coming out of the area show the building in flames as firefighters and police carry out rescue operations.
