Amid all the protests against Delhi rape case, the main accused, Mukesh, was allegedly beaten up and was forced to consume human excreta in Tihar Jail by the jail inmates. The utter disgust and abhorrence of the crime resulted in such a behavior by the inmates.

On any other day, such an incident in Tihar would have generated revulsion in itself but people reacted to this news in a positive way. “Yukk! But unable to muster sympathy for the criminal”, said one tweet, “Hail Tihar inmates…”, said another.

Police have arrested all the six accused in connection with the rape but the heinous act against the medical student have resulted in rousing emotions in every group and individual of the society who can feel the pain and horror the girl went through.
