Speeding Trailer Hits Bike Killing Father-Daughter Near Dabok; Mother Seriously Injured

Udaipur, Nov 29, 2025 — In a tragic road accident in the Dabok police station area of the district, two members of a family were killed when a speeding trailer hit the motorcycle they were travelling on at around 10:20 am on Saturday (November 29). The father and daughter were killed on the spot while the mother was seriously injured. All three were going on the bike to Bhatewar from Udaipur.

Dabok Station House Officer (SHO) Hukam Singh said the trailer driver was attempting to overtake the motorcycle, lost control and rammed into it. As a result, Devi Lal Vasita (46), a resident of Bhopa-Magri who was riding the motorcycle, and his daughter Devasi Vasita (11), who was seated in the middle, were run over by the trailer and crushed to death. The mother, Kala Vasita (43), who was sitting at the back, fell to the other side and sustained serious injuries. She has been admitted to the trauma centre at MB Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.

After the accident, the trailer driver fled the scene. Police have seized the trailer and parked it at the police station, and a search has been launched for the driver.

The accident took place on the Chittorgarh-Udaipur six-lane highway near the airport. On receiving information, Dabok police reached the spot and sent the bodies to the mortuary for post-mortem. Nearby hotel operators helped the injured woman. The accident caused a brief traffic jam on the highway. A case has been registered and investigation started.
