A driver dozed off while driving resulting in the overturning of mini truck loaded with local liquor on NH-8 at Gangaji ka Kheda around 8 a.m. today. The liquor didn’t spill on the road. The driver and his companion got seriously injured and have been rushed to hospital.

The truck was on its way to Dungarpur from Ajmer. ASI Puran Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Amit Kumar, Shankar Lal from Bheem Police station reached the spot and pulled out the driver and his khalasi who were stuck in the truck’s cabin. Driver Jaswant Singh resident of Barar and Tol Singh resident of Padmela have been admitted to Community health centre in Bheem.

Police had to regularise traffic by getting the mini truck off the road. A number of people gathered on the spot. It has been assessed that the driver dozed off and lost balance resulting in the overturning of the vehicle. Some liquor bottles broke but the cartons did not drop out of the truck.
