Three women, including one from Udaipur were killed after a speeding bus rammed into a truck near Bagru early morning on Friday. Nine others were injured in the accident.

The three deceased have been identified as Suman Kanwar (35), a resident of Udaipur, Rekha Bhatia (30) from Bhilwara and Suman Jat (44) from Jhunjhunu. All three were going from Ajmer to Jaipur.

As per Police, the bus was going from Ajmer to Jaipur when it lost control and collided with a truck. The accident took place at around 3 am on Friday morning. The passengers were fast asleep and had no time to react when the accident happened. The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital.

The truck driver fled from the scene. Ambulances were rushed to help the injured. Police had to call a crane to clear the highway and restore traffic.

Police is investigating the case and official said that prima facie it appears to be a case of overtaking. Investigations however are still on.
