Udaipur boy Zaheer Abbas missing in Mecca Stampede
Zaheer Abbas, son of Hatim Attari of Udaipur, has been missing for the last two days, subsequent to the pilgrim stampede that occurred near Mina, adjacent to the Holy City of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. The said stampede has cause a loss of nearly 800 lives and injured a similar count.
Zaheer, who was with his parents Hatim and Shireen Attari, were in the area during the stampede and was separated from his parents in the ensuing chaos.
As per Hatim Attari, Zaheer’s father, the boy is unable to mentally comprehend like a normal person and only communicates with his parents. In the course of travel, Hatim had taken his sons identity card under his possession and was with the boy holding his hand, but due to the heat, Hatim collapsed while walking and lost consciousness. He was taken to the hospital with the injured, but during the entire event, he lost possession of Zaheer.
Now, with Zaheer unable to explain to others about his identity and also with the absence of Identity card on his person adding to the troubles, both the parents as well as the authorities who would be searching for Zaheer’s group, are unable to reconcile.
WhatsApp and Facebook messages have been propagated around the city in the hope that Zaheer be found and reunited with his parents.
