Residents of hawala village protested against the administration’s action on removing the place of worship situated on the corner of Rani Road. The protesters blocked the Rani Road and demanded to re-establish the structure.

According to sources, the administration including UIT and Police removed the structure due to encroachment. However, the devotees claimed that the religious place is established here for many decades and it should be re-established back.

The villagers also presented the memorandum to collector and expressed their views.
