In an incident that occurred last night, a big part of plaster from the roof at Co-operative society’s office collapsed. The office is situated on the first floor in the Municipal Council’s premise. This incident has raised some serious doubts over the quality of work in Udaipur’s Municipal Council’s office.

Kanti Lal Jain, accounts officer employed at Co-Operative Society told that plaster of the office ceiling fell on a computer, office table and on other important things.

The accident could have been fatal if someone had been sitting down at the time of collapse. Jain said that this ceiling was repaired six months back. He alleged that repair work was carried out by low graded cement and construction material.
