A woman in her 20s delivered a baby girl while waiting for her Aadhaar Card registration in a long queue at camp organized at Boharwadi today. Even after informing 108-Ambulance, no medical team responded, on pretext of vehicle’s unavailability.

However, with the help of locals, the woman and her newly born were rushed to the hospital in a private vehicle.

It was a usual day at Aadhar Camp at Jamat Khana of Boharwadi, lots of people were standing in queue for registration. A heavily pregnant woman, identified as Logri w/o Narayanlal Gameti, was also standing waiting for her turn.

Suddenly, the woman complained of dreadful pain and after a few minutes, she delivered a baby.

Locals of the area including females waiting in the queue rushed to help the ailing mother, a few people also called 108-ambulance service but after getting negative response, local people took the woman and baby to hospital by their own.

Ayub Khan, parshad of the area said, “It is because of the alert and timely help by people of Boharwadi and Karwadi that the woman and her infant received medical assistance. What’s the use of such ambulance service if it can’t respond to an ailing person?”
