Divya Luthra, 24, resident of Bhopalpura has succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at MB Hospital. Divya was admitted in a critical condition today morning after she was hit by a truck at Amberi, Sukher. The truck driver is arrested by police.

According to Mohammad Mushtaq, Investigating Officer Sukher Police, Divya d/o Jitendra and Vimmi Luthra, was working as a sales executive in a computer firm at Sukher, she was going to office on her Honda Activa today morning at 6, when a Truck coming from Nathdwara allegedly hit her. The accident occurred near Kushalbagh Marbles, Amberi.

The driver identified as Poonaram was caught by locals and handed over to police.

Divya was rushed to MB Hospital and admitted in ward No.16, where she died while undergoing treatment. Her body is transferred to mortuary and the autopsy will be conducted day after tomorrow.

Police also said that Divya’s father lives in Egypt.

As informed to UT correspondent, Divya’s body is transferred to mortuary as her final rights will performed after her father arrives.

The tragic incident has spread shockwave among her friends, colleagues and everybody who knew this 24-year-old, full of life girl.

According to her facebook profile Divya, a commerce graduate had earlier worked in Arc Gate and at present she was working at PC Care.

When scrolled her profile, UT discovered few heart touching lines last updated by Divya, which makes us feel that she was not only a fun loving girl, but also had a matured understanding of life and death.

On 26 Aug, Divya last updated her status with the message saying, “Tijoriyaa Bharte Hain Log Umar Bhar Ke Liye, par Afsos, Maut K Farishte Rishwat bhi Nahi Lete…”, which means People collect money and keep it safe in their locker, but sadly! Angels of death don’t accept bribes.

Frequent road accidents are taking hundreds of lives and destroying equal number of families. Safety measures, driving ethics, speed control and non-observance of rules are always the reason of such untimely deaths.

A joint step needs to be taken by public and the administration by stringent implementation of traffic and safety rules and avoid deaths in road accident.

UT prays for the departed soul, may God bestow patience on the family of victim.
