104 Ambulances to provide free-of-cost Service to the Rural Areas

Janani Express Yojana, government scheme for better health and facility for pregnant women, was launched today at RNT Medical College by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister, Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya.

Janani Express Yojana, government scheme for better health and facility for pregnant women, was launched today at RNT Medical College by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister, Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya.

Udaipur District has been allotted 25 Janani Express Ambulance, also called as ‘104’ ambulance service. ‘104’ is similar to ‘108’ ambulances. They are specifically meant to provide facilities in faraway places in Udaipur District to the pregnant women and new born babies.

Dr. Girija Vyas, MP from Chittorgarh Lok Sabha Constituency thanked Chief Minister for the scheme and said it would be great is CM can allocate separate funds for spreading awareness about this scheme in far-off villages.

Zila Pramukh, Madhu Mehta said that government has launched several schemes both for men and women. This scheme is another step in this direction.

On the occasion, new collector of Udaipur, Vikas Bhale said that State government has approved 400 ambulances for the whole state out of which 25 are allotted to Udaipur district. He also said that this is a promising scheme and now no mother will have to wait in critical condition during their pregnancy.

Several other officers and renowned personalities were present on the occasion.
