Appreciable work of allotting patta to the residents of Udaipur, in a scheme jointly carried out by State Government and local administration under the banner of ‘Prashashan Sheron Ke Sang’, continued today by UMC that allotted 121 more ‘patta’ to dwellers of Paneriyon Ki Madri.

Municipal Council apportioned 121 Pattas at Doudh Talai Ke Nohra located in Paneriyon Ki Madari; 140 more are under the consideration of UMC. Pattas were handed over to the people by Gulab Chand Katariya, Minister of Opposition & Ex-Home Mininster, BJP.

Satya Narayan Acharya, Commissioner, UMC informed that land in Paneriyon Ki Madri area, being in an Unidentified Land zone, legally falls under the administration of Urban Improvement Trust (UIT), but it was transferred to UMC in a special request to State Government in public interest.

Sources informed that there are around 20,000 houses in old colonies established in and around the city, the residents of where does not have any legal document for their pre-owned houses. Absence of pattas restricts them to use the house in filing of financial grounds like loans, even though they had been residing in the same house for more-than 35 years.
