142 BPL Families Receive Rs. 24K each
Financial aid, under BPL Awas Yojna, has been distributed to 142 families falling under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) class, to assist them construct their residence.
Financial aid under the BPL Awas Yojna, has been distributed to 142 families falling under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) class, to assist them in constructing their residence.
The event was conducted at the Municipal Council auditorium and attended by the State Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Mahendrajeet Singh Malwiya as the Chief Guest.
While addressing the guests and families attending the event, UMC Chairperson Rajni Dangi said that to provide help to BPL families so that they can afford a decent house, the State Government has decided to provide an aid of Rs. 28 Lac to 142 families.
Malwiya also talked about various beneficiary schemes initiated by the government for education, health, housing and livelihood in rural parts of the State.
An amount of Rs. 24000 each was distributed today to every BPL family, with a pre-condition that the bank account where transfer would be made shall be jointly held by both husband and wife.
Vikas Bhale, District Collector said that the Government has targeted to provide 10 Lac residences for BPL families in the State in a period of 4 years.
