Udaipur is set to have two more over bridges over the broad gauge line that will connect Udaipur with Ahmedabad. These overbridges will be constructed as part of Railways’s gate-less plan for the city. This decision was taken by the officers involved in the railway line transformation project.

The railway gate connecting Sector 6 situated Jadaav Nursery Main road to VIP colony will be closed and an over bridge will be constructed over there. An under pass was earlier proposed on this route but considering the geological survey result, it was deemed not-feasible to construct the under pass.

The second over bridge will be constructed at the next gate of VIP colony. This gate is known as the sector 7 gate.

After construction of the overbridge, the commuters going towards Jhamarkotra from Sector 7 will have to take the over bridge. This road will also be useful for commuters going towards bypass and Gitanjali hospital and medical college.
