After a long protest by hundreds of eligible candidates for recruitment of sweeping staff, Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) has initiated the process. On the second day of the recruitment process, officials have shortlisted 2000 applications received for the post; the process will be continued for another ten days so that each of the application can be evaluated.

Today, on the second day of recruitment of sweeping staff for Corporation, as declared by the State Government, around 2000 applicants were shortlisted; whereas UMC has received more than ten thousand applications against 6000 posts of sweeping staff.

According to Rajni Dangi, Mayor, UMC, shortlisted candidates will be intimated for the interviews once officials accomplish the on-going short-listing process, the task will take another ten days to evaluate among the large number of claims.
