In the newly developed 23 colonies of Udaipur, the water pipe lines will be installed by August. Out of these, the work of laying pipelines in 5 colonies will commence from next month onward.
UIT has proposed a budget of Rs. 7.31 Cr to PHED for the installation. In the first phase, the colonies included are Bedla’s Joli Nagar, Badgaon’s Shiv Colony, Alliance Anmol Nagar, Chitrakoot Nagar A Block and Shantivan Colony.
The department is expected to finish the pipelines work in these colonies by the end of August. Around 1000 families will be benefited.
It is to consider that Indira Nagar and Meera Nagar covers the largest area out of all the newly developed colonies for which expenses of Rs. 2 Cr and Rs. 1.59 Cr will be made for installation of the pipelines in both the colonies, respectively. Due to small area of the rest of the colonies, the rest of the budget would suffice for the work.
