EV Infra Boost in Rajasthan: Udaipur to Get EV Charging Stations on 39 Locations
EV Charging Infrastructure in Rajasthan will get a boost under the Prime Minister e-Drive Program - Rs 81.12 Crore Sanctioned
Udaipur, April 01, 2026: The Government of India has sanctioned a financial assistance of Rs 81.12 Crores to Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation to help the state ramp up its existing nascent stage EV infrastructure. This fund will be used by the corporation to establish public charging stations for electric vehicles across the state. A total of 591 charging stations will be set up across 262 locations in Rajasthan. Udaipur will soon get 39 EV charging stations.
Earlier, the RREC had submitted its proposal to the government of India for establishing EV charging stations in Rajasthan under the PM e-Drive scheme, to facilitate epansion of the green energy network in the state. This will be a significant step in promoting green energy and encouraging the adoption of EVs within Rajasthan.
As per the approved plan, charging stations will be installed in 112 locations in Jaipur, 49 locations in Ajmer, 39 locations in Udaipur and 28 locations in Kota. To provide convenience to EVs undertaking highway journeys, charging stations will be set up on 34 locations along the national highway stretches across the state.
