City Level Monitoring Committee meeting was organized at Divisional Commissioner’s office today, under presidency of Vaibhav Galriya, Divisional Commissioner and District Collector. The committee came up with a new proposal of beautification on Lake Fatehsagar and Pichola.

Vaibhav Galriya, during the meet reviewed various maintenance and beautification projects. Galriya proposed shifting of jetty towards Rani Road opposite Rajiv Gandhi Park. Galriya also instructed Municipal Corporation for cleaning of lakes and various canals with de-weeding machine.

Ashutosh A.T Pednekar, District Collector, Udaipur, proposed new water routes for tourists from Gangaur Ghat to Dudh Talai, along with Jungle Safari at Bank of Pichola Lake. Instruction for removing illegal banners and posters were also passed during the meet.

In the meeting, Ram Niwas Mehta, Secretary, UIT briefed construction progress of Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP). Mehta informed the committee that 50% construction of main STP has been completed, while another STP constructed by Hindustan Zinc is working since April 2014.

The monitoring committee has also sanctioned forest land conversion for construction of ‘Dhobi Ghat’ and public urinal at Dudh Talai area.
