The District Administration Udaipur has planned to plant 46 lac plants across district this monsoon. All the government departments would be participating in the activity during rainy season.

Ashutosh Pednekar, District Collector, Udaipur informed that forest department will be planting 26 lac plants. The remaining 20 lac plants would be distributed among 27 government departments, which will be charged with Re.1 per plant.

Pednekar further informed that across city areas partial grown plants of 5 to 8 feet height will be planted, while in rural areas buds will be given. The plan will be implemented soon after first monsoon rain.

Pednekar also added around 10 plants per farmer will be distributed among farmers across district. These would be those farmers who are registered in Harit Dhar Project will be charged with Re. 1 per plant as well.
