With the construction of new pit line at city station, it will highly benefit the regulation of trains at the station. After the time table changes in October, Udaipur is expected to operate 5 new trains for which the proposal has been sent by the Ajmer Board.

This information was given by DRM Naresh Salecha while his visit to Udaipur for the inauguration of pit line at city station on Sunday. In the series of new trains, Pooja Express, Haridwar Mail, Amritsar Mail, Chennai Express and Mysore Express is expected to operate. After this, tourism will see a rise in the city.

With the new pit line, three regular trains and two weekly trains will be maintained, repaired and cleaned on a daily basis. At a time around 21 coaches can be cleaned for which 84 water hydrants are provided.
