Anti Human Trafficking unit rescued 7 children begging on different tourist spots of Udaipur. There were 3 boys and 4 girls begging at Saheliyon ki Bari, Sukhadia Circle, Fatehpura Circle and some other prominent spots of the city frequented by tourists. These children were noticed by Anti Human Trafficking unit on Saturday.

Administration is on its campaign of making Udaipur a beggar free city. Following this, Child Line and Anti Human Trafficking unit under Hanumant Singh Bhati rescued 3 boys and 4 girls begging with their Shani Maharaj vessel. 4 of these children were with their mothers who have been strictly instructed not to leave children on roads for begging. The other 3 have been sent to shelter home.

It is pathetic that these kids are forced to beg by their parents to fulfil basic needs of food and clothes. An appeal has been made to the public to cooperate with administration in this matter. Children need to be kept away from this kind of situation. At their tender age, they should not be begging… instead they must be taught to read and write.

Udaipur city has lots of beggars. From time and on, efforts are being made to keep the city free of beggars. Shelter homes and Child help line are making efforts to create a good environment in the city for tourists. Beggars keep following tourists especially foreign tourists in hope of getting money. It is the need of hour to relocate these beggars into a place where they can work and administration must make sure that such an arrangement is made at the earliest. Udaipur’s position on the tourist map should not be shadowed by beggars.
