Among the multiple decisions taken at the meeting of the District Tourism Development Committee today, the most interesting one was Tour on Call.  Collector Rohit Gupta, Assistant Director Tourism Sumita Saroch and Commissioner UMC Siddharth Sihag were a part of this meeting where the decisions were taken.

Under this model, tourists would be able to book an Auto Rickshaw or a Tourist bus for a day long tour across the city of lakes.  A helpline number has been allotted to serve the purpose.  These helpline numbers have been displayed at tourist locations across the city as well as hotels.  A day long tour of the city in an Auto will cost Rs. 800/-

It was also decided that the long pending renovation of the Maharana Pratap Rajtilak Sthal would now be handed over to the Gogunda Panchayat Samiti.  It may be noted that basic facilities as well as utilities are missing at this much revered point.

Various aspects of plying Water Taxis in Jaisamand have also been explored to promote fishing tourism at Jaisamand.
