The district Police administration is soon going to relocate many of its administrative offices to the Fateh Memorial premises near Surajpol. This comes after IG Praful Kumar visited the Fateh Memorial on Tuesday, October 18. Prior to this  visit, the District Collector Tarachand Meena and SP Vikas Sharma had already inspected it.

The process for moving the different police offices of the Fateh Memorial to Surajpole is now under way, according to IG Praful Kumar. He informed that the offices of ASP (City) and ASP (Rural) of the newly established Women’s Cell along with the newly established Cyber Cell and all offices of the DSP totalling to 15 offices will be shifted to Fateh Memorial.

More than 100 vehicles can be parked on the grounds of Fateh Memorial, allowing for the presence of more than 12 officers under one roof and preventing people from wandering in the area. Upon investigation, it was discovered that although 40 CCTV cameras are installed in the premises, the maintenance is poor. Rainwater accumulation and seepage led to fungus growth on the walls of the Fateh Memorial building. Given that it has been so long since walls have been painted, the idea of painting the walls is also being discussed.  Additionally, there are plans to build a number of offices on the Memorial's grounds. Shikha Saxena, Deputy Director, Regional Tourism Office, Udaipur, was consulted on the renovations.
