The State Transport department has allotted RJ58 as an additional vehicle number series.  This prefix will be applicable for all vehicles registered at Salumber, which is a part of Udaipur District.

This amendment has come into force after the earlier decision of the state government to allot a separate RTO to Salumber.  Kalpana Sharma, RTO Udaipur, who was the acting RTO for the newly established Salumber RTO, will be replaced by Sujana Ram Chaudhary as RTO Salumber. The allotment of new RTO to Salumber and the appointment of a separate RTO were done under the Motor Vehicle Act 1948.  The vehicle number series, RJ58 for Salumber was done under the clauses of Motor Vehicle Act 1988.
