As Udaipur gears up to host one of the biggest international events, the G-20 Sherpa Agenda meet, the local governing bodies and administration are working hand in hand to ensure that the event goes smooth. A team of experts from the event team at New Delhi are in town to ensure that the planners and implementors are in sync with the preparations and expectations.
A team of eleven experts arrived in Udaipur on 5 November, following another team of four that arrived on 4 November. While the first team met the tourism department officers to assess the preparations of the Cultural event that will be held at Manak Chowk in City Palace and Jag Mandir during the meet, the members of the subsequent team that arrived on 5 November will be looking into the arrangements related to welcoming the delegates, security arrangements across the 3 day event, registration of the guests and other logistics aspects. The team than have a meeting with the Deputy Director of the Tourism Department Udaipur Shikha Saxena and the Additional Director will also be joining them at the Airport.
The team of experts incldes Mukesh Pardesi OSD (Secretary) G-20 , Ministry of External Affairs; Nagaraj Naidu, Joint Secretary, G-20 External Affairs; L Ramesh Babu, Joint Secretary (Summits), External Affairs; Praveen Jakhar OSD (Summit); Aseem Anwar, Under Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs; Naman Upashayay, Under Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs; Vipul Bhawa, Under Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs and Anuj Sawrup,Under Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs.
Deputy Director of Regional Tourism, Udaipur, Shikha Saxena informed that the experts will have two separate meetings during their visit. While the first meeting will be held at the Maharana Pratap Airport in Dabok, the second meeting will be held with the administrative officers and representatives of the event management companies at Fateh Prakash Hotel in Udaipur.
