Administration gears up to welcome Singapore PM to Udaipur

City administration is carrying out last preparations to ensure a successful welcome of the Singapore PM  Lee Hsien Loong. PM Lee is coming of a 5-day trip to India and will be in Udaipur on Oct 5 and Oct 6.

District Collector Rohit Gupta and Neha Giri, Additional Commissioner , Investment & NRIs at Bureau of Investment Promotion, Rajasthan carried out an inspection of the various places where PM Lee will be either staying or visiting and took complete stock of the situation.

During his Udaipur visit, PM Lee will inaugurate Centre for Excellence in Tourism Training (CETT) on October 6th, in the presence of CM Vasundhra Raje. This advanced training centre is supported by Singapore Govt and they have offered an assistance of 2.47 million Singaporean Dollars for providing masters training for provision of global level of skills in hospitality sector.

CETT will operate out of the Mohan Lal Sukhadia premise from the building where IIM Udaipur was functioning. As per sources, IIM Udaipur is set to start functioning from its permanent campus in Balicha from Oct 3, 2016.

Besides the Udaipur visit, PM Lee will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will also call upon President Pranab Mukherjee to explore ways to further bolster ties between the two countries.

PM Lee will be accompanied by his wife Ho Ching, a number of key ministers and senior officials.
