The District Administration has decided to be strict on Child Labor, where business would be levied with a high amount of penalty on employers of kids below 14 years.

The District Administration has decided to be strict on Child Labor, where business would be levied with a high amount of penalty on employers of kids below 14 years.

The drive would be initiated in joint collaboration with Human Trafficking Cell (Police Department) and Child Development Commission.

According to Ashutosh A.T Pednekar District Collector, Udaipur, “It has been observed that those employers taken under legal custody for appointing kids, usually pays a nominal penalty in court using legal loop holes.”

Pednekar added that these employers will be levied with a penalty of Rs.25,000 per kid employed to demoralize trafficking of children.

Child Development Commission would be taking care of kids in their various needs which includes food, lodging and studies, while Police Department will complete other legal actions against employers along with penalty.
