The district administration has taken an initiative to promote Organic Farming across Udaipur, where farmers will be provided with Fertilizers and Hybrid seeds of various vegetables.

Around 2,000 farmers have already been provided with vegetable seeds under IWMP (Integrated Wasteland Management Program), with the target being to include more than 4,000 farmers under various other related Government schemes.

According to District Collector of Udaipur, Ashutosh Pednekar the regions climatic conditions supports this kind of farming wherein vegetables like Tomato, Eggplant, Cabbage, Gourd-Bottle and Cucumber will be grown in farms.

Farmers with land standings of less than 2 Bhiga are included in this program, as profit viability in growing vegetable is higher than that of grains, added Pednekar.
