Udaipur Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari has announced that Gulab Bagh will get a new Toy Train, which is based on the Texan Model.

This announcement was made after the multiple accidents during the last one year that caused injury to tourists taking the train ride in Gulab Bagh.

The Mayor and Commissioner, UMC had visited Ahmedabad earlier this week and had witnessed the working of the model train at Kankariya Lake in the City.  Further to this, they met the General Manager of the company, Hitendra Shah and discussed implementation of the model train in Gulab Bagh.  Earlier, Hitendra had visited Udaipur last year and the model was discussed.

The total cost of the project will be Rs. 8 Crore.  144 passengers can be accommodated in this Train, which can run at speeds ranging from 15-25 km/hr fuelled either by Diesel or LPG.
